Position: Records Manager / Records Management Analyst

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Records Manager / Records Management Analyst to lead our organization's records and information governance initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring USSOCOM's enterprise records are captured, classified, retained, and disposed of in compliance with federal law, DoD directives, and USSOCOM policy. This role operates at the intersection of compliance (legal mandates, audit readiness) and technology (Microsoft Purview Records Management, SharePoint, M365).

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance
• Three (3)+ years managing federal or DoD records programs (lifecycle management: creation, maintenance, use, disposition)
• Working knowledge and practical experience of 44 U.S.C. Chapters 29, 31, and 33 (Federal Records Act); 36 CFR Chapter XII (NARA regulations); DoD Directive 5015.02(DoD Records Management Program)
• Three (3)+ years experience managing records repositories in SharePoint (document libraries, in-place records management, content organizer)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview compliance features (retention labels, retention policies, disposition reviews)
• Ability to execute records disposition (transfer to NARA, destroy per schedule) in compliance with approved authorities
• Ability to train users on records responsibilities (what to save, where to save, how long to keep)
• CompTIA Security+ certification
