Position Summary:The Traveling Installation Helper assists lead installers with installing architectural millwork, cabinetry, countertops, and specialty wood products on hospitality, multifamily, and commercial construction projects. This position involves frequent overnight travel throughout the U.S. and provides an opportunity to learn the commercial millwork industry while working with an experienced installation team.Responsibilities:Assist with installation and follow shop drawings and installation instructions.Load, unload, and safely transport materials and tools.Safely operate hand and power tools.Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.Help ensure installations meet Merric quality standards.Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and team members.Complete work according to project schedules and safety requirements.Travel to project sites throughout the United States.Required Qualifications:Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.Ability to use hand and power tools safely.Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on construction sites.Reliable transportation to Merric's facility.Valid driver's license with clean driving record.Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips lasting several days or weeks.Nice to Haves:Construction or carpentry experience.Interest in building a long-term career in commercial millwork.Travel & Benefits:Company-paid lodging and per diem for eligible travel.Competitive hourly pay and overtime opportunities.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid holidays and PTO.401(k) with company match.Advancement opportunities into Lead Installer positions.
